2. Upgrading to LOCKSS 1.78.5

The first task in the migration process is to upgrade your LOCKSS 1.x instance to LOCKSS 1.78.5, the latest version of LOCKSS 1.78.

To upgrade your LOCKSS 1.x instance to LOCKSS 1.78.5, follow these steps as root on your LOCKSS 1.x host [1]:

  1. Run this systemctl command as root to stop the LOCKSS 1.x instance:

    systemctl stop lockss
    
  2. Run this Dnf or Yum command as root to upgrade the lockss RPM package, depending on your operating system:
